A bit about the Hub Host & Conscious Clothing Collective:
Katie Young is an award-winning British textile and fashion designer with 30 years of experience creating timeless bespoke to large batch garments and textile collections for luxury brands and heritage institutions.
Through her studio Bespoke Textiles , Katie has consulted & designed for Professionals - palaces, Michelin-level hospitality venues Clients include; The Ivy, Soho house, Bills to English Eccentrics & Performers -Presenters from Toyah Willcox to Femi OKE. She’s the No.1 best selling author of Textile Touch and ‘Gathering the threads’ and founder of the Conscious Clothing Collective.
With a lifelong love of vintage clothing, an exquisite eye for elegant and timeless design, and decades of expertise in manufacturing and customising garments, Katie inspires and empowers people through the art of Re-Dressing and Re-making.
Today Katie speaks about the powerful connection between clothing, creativity, wellbeing & worth. Drawing from her own journey through menopause and personal transformation, she shares how reconnecting with sewing, repairing and customising clothing can become a deeply empowering creative practice.
