We are thrilled to have our beloved Taco Poet, Eddie Vega returning to Ursa at Branch on High for the quarterly Reading on Friday December 6. There will be poems, stories, perhaps a song from the talented Poet Laureate of San Antonio. Can you smell the tamales? Can you hear the laughter? Books will be available for purchase and signing. Eddie Vega is a poet, storyteller, spoken word artist, and educator. The author of Chicharra Chorus (FlowerSong Press, 2019) and Somos Nopales (FlowerSong Press, 2024), his poetry also appears in a permanent installation along the San Pedro Creek Cultural Park. He is the editor of Asina is How We Talk, a collection of Tejano poetry. A Macondo Workshop Fellow, Vega directs the Mouth Dakota Poetry Project and currently serves as the 7th Poet Laureate of San Antonio.
