RFC is hosting our annual Quarter Auction at Benner HallDoors open at 12:00. Auction begins at 1:00.
Refreshments will be available for purchase.
Great family friendly event with tons of fun and laughs!
HOW DOES THIS WORK YOU ASK?
Here is a step by step:
For a $5.00 entrance fee, you will receive (1) one numbered auction paddle. If your favorite numbers are still available, you can choose your number. Bring a non-perishable food item(s) and receive (1) one only FREE auction paddle. Additional paddles can be purchased for $1.00 each. Ping pong balls numbered with the corresponding numbers on your auction paddles will all be put in to one large drawing bin. Before the auction starts, there will be an opportunity to purchase tickets for the famed yellow "FIREBALL." Tickets will be $1.00 each or 6 tickets for $5.00. We will draw one random ticket number and whoever has the corresponding ticket will be the holder and proud owner of the "FIREBALL" auction paddle. We will explain the significance of the Fireball paddle below.
There will be many amazing prizes for you to bid on such as gift cards, gift certificates, jewelry, tools, Pampered Chef items, Scentsy items, Longaberger, 31 items, etc. The auctioneer will hold up a prize. Let's say for example, it is a $25.00 gift card to Giant Food. The auctioneer will say "Up for bid is a $25.00 Giant Gift Card. This is a one quarter bid." For every auction paddle that you have, you can put one quarter on the table as your bid. Let's say you have 3 auction paddles. You really want this gift card, so you put in a quarter for each paddle. That equals .75 cents. You then hold up all three of your auction paddles. If the numbered ping pong ball that is drawn matches any of your auction paddles, you just won a $25.00 gift card for .75 cents!! How cool is that! If you are the proud owner of the "FIREBALL", and you have held your Fireball paddle up during this auction, and the auctioneer picks the special yellow fireball ping pong ball, you just won a $25.00 gift card for FREE!! You can pick and choose which prizes you want to bid on and how many auction paddles you want to hold up. More expensive prizes may be a two quarter, 3 quarter, or 4 quarter bid.
All proceeds benefit Richlandtown Fire Company and our quest
to update aging equipment and supplies.
