Quarantined Quartet is an incredibly unique ensemble and a family affair! Formed at the beginning of the pandemic lockdown on March 21, 2020, the Hochman family including Elysa (Mom), Jason (Dad), Joseph (son), and Noah (son) made use of time in their Brooklyn, NY home to begin performing together, posting a video daily on Instagram for over 1,700 days.The Hochmans are the founders of the New York Guitar Academy, with backgrounds in Spanish classical, flamenco, and rock guitar. Their repertoire includes original compositions and covers, reimagined in their own distinctive style. Their mix of instrumental beauty and rhythmic intensity has created a loyal following nationwide. Their first full-length album, Strumming the Earth, features nine original songs along with three covers they arranged for this incredible ensemble.
