Event Description
Gain the skills and confidence to act in an emergency with our Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF).
This practical one day course provides essential life saving knowledge and hands on skills to help you respond effectively to illness or injury in the workplace or everyday life. The qualification meets the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) training standard for Emergency First Aid at Work and is suitable for many low risk workplaces.
Delivered by experienced trainers at our training centre in Bletchley, Milton Keynes, this course focuses on realistic scenarios and practical learning so you leave feeling confident and prepared.
What you will learn
During the day you will develop the knowledge and practical skills to manage a range of emergency situations, including:
• The roles and responsibilities of an emergency first aider
• Assessing an incident safely
• Managing an unresponsive casualty
• CPR and use of an AED (defibrillator)
• The recovery position
• Choking
• Seizures
• Shock
• Wounds and bleeding
• Minor injuries such as cuts, grazes and burns
