We did this on the first week in November so we will try it again for our first clean-up of the year. This route has a similar distance and climbing as the Alpine Loop, 30 miles 1900 ft. It starts North, up Jamacha and works through El Cajon, our normal way, to Main street until we reach the bathrooms, about 10 miles in. We will continue on Blossom Valley Rd. for about 2.7 miles until it intersects Quail Canyon Rd. where we turn right and continue the climb. This hill has a few sections where it reaches 9%, but those sections are short. After regrouping at the top, we will go down the hill, continue up Old Highway 8 to Dunbar, cross under the freeway, down Harbison Canyon and back to RSD. Please be ready to help with “Road Clean-Up” shortly after the ride. When done right, it should take less than an hour to complete. “When we all work hard, nobody works hard!”
