Start: 8:00am at Timber Trailhead, Lory State ParkBBQ Potluck: Noon – 3:00pm
Gnar will be providing burgers, veggie burgers, buns, cheese & condiments, plus beer & sparkling water. Hot food should be ready starting around noon.
Any other food is potluck-style. Individual packs of chips, cookies, fruit cups, string cheese, etc are greatly appreciated. We'll also have a tip jar set out to help cover costs of booking Timber.
Fees: No registration is required. Runners are responsible for their own park entrance fee ($10 day pass per car if you don’t already have a Colorado State Parks annual pass. Carpooling strongly recommended.)
Course: Most runners will follow the Quad Rock 25 mile loop, and we'll have route leaders for 25mi & 18mi options, but everyone is welcome to run any part of the course. The route will not be marked, so plan on buddying up with local runners if you're not familiar with the trails or bring a map and/or upload a .gpx file of the course (http://gnarrunners.com/quad-rock-50/#course). We will have pace group leaders for slow, medium, and fast groups
Water: There are water pumps at the Horsetooth Trailhead (10 miles) and the Soldier Canyon Trailhead and Lory Visitor Center at the entrance to the park. We will also place a couple of jugs of water at the Arthur’s Trailhead.
