As we approach the solstice, take a moment to recharge with this unique workshop designed to support you through the winter months. Qigong is a gentle movement practice that strengthens your vital energy (qi). Similar to tai chi, it is usually practiced slowly while standing. Qigong differs in that it was developed as a healing technique rather than a martial art and is simpler to learn. Michelle Morisi, DACM, is a practitioner of acupuncture and Chinese medicine, as well as a certified qigong instructor. After leading you through a qigong routine, she will conclude the workshop with a simple acupuncture treatment for each participant. You may bring your own mat to lie on while receiving acupuncture. Yoga mats and blankets will be provided for those who need them.
$25 if you register in advance. $30 at the door (cash, check, or Venmo accepted).
