Join us for the final of three Q&A's with the District 11 congressional candidates. Scott Wiener presents his position and answers questions
About this Event

Bookshop West Portal is hosting the three Q&A Events, one with each congressional candidate running for U.S. Representative for California's 11th Congressional District, a seat previously occupied by Nancy Pelosi. In short, the 11th district is the city of San Francisco.

We have previously hosted San Francisco’s mayoral and supervisor candidates for successful Q&As. We are hosting these events as a service to our community, to uphold civic discourse and ensure our community is knowledgeable. Therefore, these events are FREE and open to the public.

These events will take place at 7pm on three successive Thursdays: April 9th, April 16th, and April 23rd. One candidate will appear at each event. The Candidate will speak for 20 minutes, discussing their positions and pitching themselves as your potential representative. This is NOT a debate, but rather a chance for our community to become well-informed through moderated conversation with each candidate independently.

You, as an audience member, are encouraged to write down ONE question on a notecard that will be provided upon your arrival. We limit you to one question so we can provide the chance for as many people as possible to be heard. That said, we will go through as many questions as time allows, but we may not have the ability to get to them all. Your questions will be read by the moderator to the candidate, who will then address your concerns. All questions will be anonymous, and we will not be taking verbal questions from the audience.

Since the event is FREE, it is first-come first first-served, and RSVPing is required; we will check confirmations at the door. This will sell out quickly. We will have seating available, though we anticipate standing room only, so please take commute time and parking difficulty into account.

If you wish to submit ONE question in advance, in place of writing one on a notecard upon arrival, please see this .
