The Qadim Ensemble, featuring master musicians from Iran, presents Piyutim (sacred Jewish poems in traditional melodies) from Iraq, Yemen, Morocco, Israel, Iran and beyond. Adept in the art of fusing different musical styles of the Middle East with a sensitive touch, the ensemble will render some of the more famous piyutim along with some hidden gems of Jewish liturgy.
Featuring highly acclaimed Persian musicians Sirvan Manhoobi on Shourangiz, Nariman Assadi and Faisal Zedan on percussion, Miriam Peretz on percussion and dance, Rachel Valfer on vocals and our and Eliyahu Sills on Persian & Turkish neys.
