Adrian West Trio and Ira Marlowe are teaming up for a magical evening of song at The Monkey House listening room in Berkeley! Adrian West Trio will play their signature mix of original acoustic rock originals, covers and a dash of Jazz. Ira will perform his exquisite songs accompanied by Adrian on violin, percussion, vocals, what-have-you.Adrian West blends thoughtful contemporary folk/pop music with a range of influences. Some have described his trio's sound as "Paul Simon meets Talking Heads". The Trio will be comprised of:
Adrian West - vocals, acoustic guitar, elec. violin & live looping
Amy Obenski - vocals, percussion
Alexis Tsamoudakis - upright bass
Ira Marlowe has taught songwriting at UC Berkeley and pens what some call "4-minute movies." He'll team up with Adrian to share his colorfully moving songs, including material from his new musical adapted from Franz Kafka's "Metamorphosis".
