Park Hill Orchard
Join us as we enjoy the peak of fall foilage, apple-picking season, and wonderful sculptures in the orchard by local artists. Art in the Orchard is a walking sculpture trail which winds through the fruit gardens. The self-guided trail is about a half-mile long. A walk through the labyrinth adds about a quarter mile. There is no charge to view the sculptures but a donation of $10 per person is requested by the orchard. Parking is free and we'll meet in the parking lot at 2pm
Park HIll Orchard is a long-beloved working fruit farm with over 40 varieties of apples. You may pick your own or purchase apples and other items at the farmstand. Please wear shoes and clothing appropriate for walking around farm fields and trails. Well behaved and leashed dogs may come to the sculpture trail but are not allowed in the "pick your own" fruit areas.
WHAT TO BRING
- Raingear, windproof layer, sweater/fleece, possibly a hat & gloves should the weather be unexpectedly windier, colder, or wetter than you expect
- Shoes that may get wet or muddy
- Queer male friends or neighbors, especially from Pioneer Valley who may be interested in art, local agriculture, delicious apples, and getting to know their queer neighbors., Q-MoB is seeking to build connections among rural queer men in this region as we move into the colder, darker time of year when knowing your neighbors is so fun & important.
- $10-$20 Tax-Deductible Donation , in cash, or check made out to "Q-MoB Inc" (Q-MoB is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit), or so you never have to donate at any regular Q-MoB event, or just come for free if this is the very 1st Q-MoB event you have ever attended or if you are low-income and want a scholarship or work-exchange (just let us know when you register)
WEATHER: On the morning of the event, please check the weather for the location before you leave home so you know current conditions and how to dress for them. Please let us know your cell phone number when you register so we can text you 2 hours before the event should an unexpected weather threat arise that causes us to move indoors or possibly cancel or postpone the activity.
CARPOOLING/RIDE-SHARE: If you need a ride or are open to carpooling, please indicate that when you are registering, & our ride coordinator will try to match you with people nearby who are interested in carpooling or offering rides.
OR : Please donate $10-$20 to help assure Q-MoB can continue to offer more than 20 activities & multiple resources & services to rural queer men all over the region. If you attend 2 or more Q-MoB events/month, please consider becoming a monthly sustaining donor member. By donating $25, $50, $75, or $100/month you can help to sustain the incredible variety of activities, services, and resources Q-MoB provides and assure all of these activities are accessible to men regardless of their age, income, or ability, and best of all you can avoid having to donate at each and every event you attend. Monthly Sustaining Members pay only once a month and then can attend all our activities with no further donation.
