Since forming in Ljusdal, Sweden, in 2010 PÜNK FLÖYD have reimagined much of Pink Floyd’s catalogue, rearranging the prog classics quite drastically at times, but with an obvious love for the songs and the music. Tempos are changed, time signatures altered and a touch of folk music is added.

Where Pink Floyd embraced electric guitars, synthesizers and studio effects PÜNK FLÖYD have chosen to go in the opposite direction and play everything on acoustic instruments such as guitars, banjo, double bass, pump organ, violin and cajón.

PÜNK FLÖYD have played all over Sweden, naturally, but also on a number of occasions in the UK and, last summer, in Germany, at the official pre-party of Night of the Prog Festival in Loreley.

PÜNK FLÖYD have released six ablums so far including The Waltz, The Dark Side of the Waltz and Wish You Waltzed Here, The band is currently working on an album that focuses on the music of Floyd founder Syd Barrett, due to be realeased in the spring of 2026.

In the summer of 2026 PÜNK FLÖYD are setting out to perform Pink Floyd’s classic double album The Wall in its entirety (as The Waltz, of course). Possibly adding a few other Floyd favourites as well.
