Description: This series of three workshops introduces and demonstrates techniques for working with the Python programming language to carry out common Natural Language Programming (NLP) tasks. In a new twist, the series integrates AI tools and technologies and their application in writing Python scripts. The series also introduces participants to using NLP technologies such as the Natural Language Toolkit (NLTK) and spaCy package library. The aim of this series is to provide participants a basic foundation in Python scripting for use on their own. The series utilizes tools available to UH faculty and staff including Google Colab Notebooks and Gemini.
