Join us for a hands-on introduction to the beautiful art of pysanky - the traditional wax-resist method of decorating eggs using beeswax and layered dyes.In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn the step-by-step process of creating intricate designs using a heated stylus and beeswax, then building color through dye baths. Each participant will complete TWO of their own unique pysanky eggs to take home.
No experience is necessary! This class is designed for beginners and anyone who loves working with their hands.
📍 Location: Confessional Coffee & Pastry – Green, OH (1840 Town Park Blvd, Uniontown, OH 44685)
🗓 Date: March 21st and 28th
⏰ Session Times: 11:00am or 1:00pm
👥 Ages: 12+ (due to use of open flame candles)
🎟 Cost: $30 per person
🪑 Space is limited to 8 participants per session.
All materials are provided. Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little dye on (aprons welcome!).
This workshop is open to everyone and celebrates the artistry and tradition of pysanky as a cultural craft. Come create something beautiful and enjoy a cozy afternoon at one of our favorite local coffee shops.
