PYGMALION: Robby Hoffman

Krannert Center proudly partners with PYGMALION for year 22 of Champaign-Urbana’s annual arts, tech, and music festival to present Emmy-winning writer, Emmy-nominated actor, and comedian Robby Hoffman. Hailed as “the future of comedy” (The Daily Beast) and a “delightful oddball” (The Hollywood Reporter), Hoffman’s work spans stand-up, television, and podcasting. She was named one of Variety's 2025 “10 Comics to Watch,” and her Netflix stand-up special, Robby Hoffman: WAKE UP, premiered globally. The special’s director, John Mulaney, boasted: “No one has owned a stage like her since James Brown.” High praise indeed for the Brooklyn- born-and-raised entertainer who has enjoyed recurring roles in the HBO series Hacks and Rooster, and is currently at work writing, producing, and ready to star in a brand new HBO series.
