In this presentation for the Memphis Herb Society, Tina will be talking about putting the “herb” back in herbalism ~returning to whole-plant infusions rather than isolating only aromatic compounds. She will explore how to grow, harvest, and dry herbs for oil infusion, and how the slow, traditional folk method allows the full character of the plant to come through.
She will share how she infused herbs into oil for body care and soapmaking, creating well-rounded, whole-plant preparations that capture more than just volatile aromatic elements. This is simple, accessible herbalism ~rooted in patience, seasonality, and honoring the entire plant.
Whether you grow your own herbs already or are just beginning your journey, this talk will offer practical insight and inspiration for working with plants in a slower, more connected way.
