About this Event
The dinner will bring to life the key points from a report due to be published by the Bessemer Society concerning the State of the Sheffield Region’s Advanced Manufacturing Cluster.
Its 70pp cover such things as:
· The Seven Pillars of the Region’s Advanced Manufacturing Industries – the Key Clusters
· The Hard & Deep Tech Landscape – University Spinouts
· The role and importance of the AMRC
· Recommendations to put Sheffield on the Map
Why a report? There are many positive things happening across all seven advanced manufacturing clusters, as well as in the startup and spinout fields. The word is getting out... but not evenly, and it doesn’t do sufficient credit to the potential. The report aims to correct this – and make clear why Sheffield should be on the map.
WHAT TO EXPECT
A Bessemer dinner is characterised by up to fourteen self-intro talks in a separate session before dinner. There are then three talks at dinner (the three keynote dinner speakers are due to be confirmed shortly). A Q&A follows.
