'Push the Light' is an unmissable, inspiring visual presentation by artist Charlotte Giblin, designed to give you a whole new language for understanding humans!
'Push the Light' uses simple artistic techniques to illustrate the different levels of energy we all have and to explain why some people find it so hard to face change. This visual story of ‘how to paint a tree’ describes a journey of self-awareness and self-acceptance that will not only help you to see the world with a different perspective but also to view yourself—and others—in a new way.
This event has been organised to help raise funds for the amazing work done by Taranaki Retreat and Waimanako, with 50% proceeds from the entry fee going to the charity.
$5 from each sale of Charlotte's 'Push the Light' book at this event will also go directly to Taranaki Retreat. The locally-printed book is 118-pages, A6 spiral bound, and has additional text and the presentation slides to embed the inspiring message of patience and tolerance for self and others!
I'm also delighted to have MC/Host with the MOST, Adam Harris on board and supporting this great cause!
About Taranaki Retreat and Waimanako:
Taranaki Retreat and Waimanako provide wraparound care (including residential support) for anyone experiencing distress - with a special focus on suicide prevention. There is always a warm, comforting and welcoming space where people can rock up, without an appointment, and access immediate support - as often as they need.
Waimanako has the look and feel of a cafe - and thousands of whānau and individuals access it each year. Someone who is homeless, in poverty, emotionally struggling can come in and be met with the same warm service. By offering a koha only, pay what you feel service - everyone is equal when they walk in the door.
The service is peer-led, holistic, caring and kind - and - community funded - which, in the current economic climate - is seriously challenging! Thank you so very very much for your support.
About Adam Harris:
