Push Pull for Puppies 2026

Competitors! Thank you for choosing to support America's VetDogs for another year! We are adding Bench to make this event into a push pull. Please reach out to us if you have any questions.

You can choose to compete in just the Deadlift event or choose to add the Bench event. Tickets include a T-Shirt.

Rules

For both events, the weight on the bar will increase in numerical order based off 1st attempt declarations, then 2nd to 3rd attempt declarations. The weight on the bar will never go down.

Commands

We will follow sanctioned powerlifting commands.

The deadlift command is DOWN, once the lifter fully completes the deadlift, no hitching, and locks out completely at the top of the pull, they will be given the down command. A deadlift bar will be used.

The bench press commands are START, PRESS, RACK, this is essentially a pause bench, the pause will be short and the press command given as soon as the bar is motionless on the athletes chest. These commands allow for control during the lift.

Weigh Ins: 7:30am

Rules Breifing: 8:30am

Lifting Begins: 9am - Lifting for bench press will be first and then we will begin Deadlift for ALL competitiors
