Purpose, a Wellbeing Economies film screening

documents the journey of economists and as they challenge the GDP-focused economic model, advocating for systems that prioritise human and planetary well-being over our current, growth driven economy.

The film chronicles the creation of the Wellbeing Economy Governments (WEGo) alliance—including Scotland, New Zealand, Iceland, Wales, and Finland—and the political hurdles met in shifting economic, social, and environmental policy.

The film will be shown after a short intro and afterwards there will be a short introduction to Community Wealth Building, Scotland’s new economic development model,and a discussion.
