Join us at WV FREE's office located in the Mountain State Justice building for a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, March 25th to celebrate the opening of Charleston’s second Purple Period Pantry! The stocking and maintenance of this pantry is provided by WV FREE, Planned Parenthood South Atlantic and Mountain State Justice.
Funded by the City of Charleston’s Hearts of Our Neighborhood grant, this community-powered initiative provides free menstrual hygiene products in accessible locations to promote dignity, health, and menstrual equity.
Community members and media are welcome. After we cut that ribbon, we will stroll just a block away to St. John’s Episcopal Church (1105 Quarrier for a spaghetti dinner! Childcare will be provided. Those needing childcare please email [email protected]. Please be sure to RSVP so we have enough food for all to enjoy. Attendees are encouraged to bring menstrual products to donate!
