Join Beth El Synagogue for our Purim Fun featuring a guest author reading and signing, a bigger-than-ever carnival and a family-friendly megillah reading and sing-along shpiel!- - - - -
First, join Beth El Synagogue and PJ Library for a FREE reading and book signing of the Purim favorite "Queen Vashti's Comfy Pants" by the author herself at 9:30am in the Beth El Synagogue sanctuary.
There will be a limited quantity of books available for purchase at the event. To secure your very own hardcover copy (retail $18) to be signed by the author, books should be pre-ordered for $12.

Then, stick around for our Annual Beth El Purim Carnival which begins at 10am and goes until noon. This is our youth education program's biggest FUNdraiser of the year and it's bigger than ever with FIFTEEN additional new booths and literally THOUSANDS of new prizes along with delicious hamantaschen, raffle prizes, face painting and dozens of games.
Unlimited play cost $18 per child with a maximum of $36 donation of per family. Children 4 and under are free to play. Caregivers are always free. Additional donations are welcome.
Register early to save time at the door! If you've pre-paid, you can skip the line and head to the express check-in at the registration table to pick up your sticker prize sheet!

Rabbi Leah Rachel Berkowitz is known and loved not only throughout the Triangle as the Associate Rabbi of Judea Reform from 2008 to 2013 but also celebrated internationally as the author of several books for Jewish children, including "The World Needs Beautiful Things" and "The Moving Box Sukkah" and co-authored a middle-grade midrash collection called "Maybe It Happened This Way: Bible Stories Reimagined." Each of her children's books has been a PJ Library selection and treasured by families all over the globe.
We are thrilled to be hosting her for this event!
