Pura Cubanía is our monthly Cuban dance social
At 7:30 before the party we will have dance class taught by Matías Jonsson called 5 Cuban Dances Every Casinero Should Know. The dances are Pilón, Yuka, Rumba Guaguancó, Rumba Columbia, and Reparto. These dances are important parts of Cuban dance culture and are regularly intermixed with Casino dance to Timba music in the culture.
The beginner lesson is 9:00-9:30 and the social will go til 12:30.
