Downtown Hamilton's First Dog-Friendly Community Festival!
Puppy Dog Picnic is coming to Strachan Linear Park on Saturday, August 29, from 11am to 7pm . (Made possible with support from Hamilton Burlington SPCA and the City of Hamilton's Downtown Placemaking Grant.)
Admission is free, and even better - if you'd like a dedicated spot for your group to sit and enjoy a summer afternoon, you can reserve one of dog-friendly 80 picnic blanket spot, FREE, in advance on Eventbrite.
Each spot fits up to 6 people and 2 dogs, and comes with a blanket and a place to tie up your dog. Bringing a bigger group? You can reserve up to 4 blankets together to sit near friends, or message us to coordinate a larger meetup.
Vendors and activities on the day include:
🍴 Winner Winner Chicken Dinner – local fried chicken and cauliflower bites
🥐 Sharpe Cravings – amazing bakes, featuring yummy foccacia and more
🍦 Fairly Frosted – delicious ice cream and treats (vegan & allergen friendly!)
🥤 Dirty Sips Co. – hand-crafted lemonades and iced teas
🦴 Yummipups – dog treats and goodies
🍦 Poppy's Provisions – fro-yo for you pup
🐕🦺 ReLeash the Hounds – clever dog gear
✂️ Kendra Grooms Puppers – grooming & picnic glam
🎨 Dawn Rawson Art – cartoon portraits of your dog
There will also be hydration stations set up throughout the park to keep dogs cool.
