Up In Arms presents a hand & rod puppetry workshop for adults to learn the basics of puppet performance. Practice puppets provided for the workshop.
Puppetry 101 is an introduction to performing hand/rod puppetry which is a popular television-style of puppetry. This 90-minute workshop is perfect for an aspiring puppeteer/ performer. Adults ages 16+. Puppet performance principles such as lip sync, focus, rod control and movement are covered. Along with reinforcing important puppetry basics, the workshop exercises engage hand-eye coordination and problem solving skills.
Great for the professional performer looking to add puppetry skills to their repertoire, teachers for a new classroom teaching tool or just to entertain friends and family by bringing puppets to life.
