Punk Rock Pizza Party with Charlie Angus + Andrew Cash!
About this Event
Charlie Angus and Andrew Cash are two of the most prominent people to emerge out of Toronto's dynamic 1980s music scene. They co-founded L'Etranger in 1980. Charlie later formed Grievous Angels, and Andrew went on to have a solo career and later formed the band Ursula.
Both artists also went on to become MPs for the NDP.
This special event will bring you up and close and personal with Charlie and Andrew as they recount their days in the Toronto music scene. We'll hear some music, talk about the intersection of punk and politics, and take questions from the audience.
Hang out afterwards and be treated to pizza and pop, while our fabulous hostess Kingi Carpenter shows you how to silk screen your own souvenir from the afternoon. Make your own L'Etranger tote bag, or bring your own t-shirts or other swag to print! (We'll also have other punk rock screens to play with.)
This talk will be moderated by Liz Worth.
