Punch Needle for Beginners - Halloween Edition!

Come along and learn a new creative skill! Join Clara (@paintedsoul and @rose_tintedrobin) to learn the slow but rewarding craft of punch needle to create your very own tufted ‘mug rug' or hanging decoration.

Punch needle is a fun and easy to pick up craft. The needle feeds yarn through the fabric, leaving a loop which is held in by the tension of the fabric. This creates a 3D tufted piece –often used for cushions, wall art and rugs! You can also mix the front and back stitches to create works of varying textures. In this workshop you will be taken through how to use and thread the adjustable needle, how to stitch your piece and finally how to back and finish the decoration.

All materials will be provided, with your very own punch needle and embroidery hoop to take home alongside a booklet with tips, hints and instructions to continue to learn this beautiful craft at home.

There are three designs available, please choose which you would like to make at the checkout. We have the hanging ghost decoration, carved pumpkin mug rug and for those not a fan of halloween, we have a beautiful autumnal leaf mug rug.

As this workshop is held at a craft cafe there are also plenty of refreshments available!
