4 kompositioner i Multitemporal Movements and Embodiment through Rhythmic Design i samspil med komponisternes personlige forhold til tid og tempo.Matt Choboters ensemble, Juniper Fuse, samarbejder med komponisten Peter Bruun, som præsenterer konceptet Multitemporal Movements and Embodiment through Rhythmic Design.
Kompositioner:
Lyle Cohen - GRAVITIES
Håkon Guttormsen - Juniper Chase
Jingsong Teng - Bee
Jens Rønsholdt - Four/For Satan

4 compositions in Multitemporal Movements and Embodiment through Rhythmic Design in interplay with the composers' personal relationship to time and tempo.Matt Choboter's ensemble, Juniper Fuse, collaborates with composer Peter Bruun, who presents the concept of Multitemporal Movements and Embodiment through Rhythmic Design. The project explores how structures in time and tempo can serve as gateways into musical universes before the well-tempered scale. The focus is on rhythmic complexity and the interplay between different tempos, where the composers' individual approaches to time and tempo are embodied by Juniper Fuse through the continuum between improvisation and structure.
Compositions:
Lyle Cohen - GRAVITIES
Håkon Guttormsen - Juniper Chase

“Jointures” (2024) - Composed by Matt Choboter. Commissioned by Peter Bruun.
The work dialogues with an extended poem - “The Jointure” - by Clayton Eshleman (US).
Juniper Fuse is inspired by prehistoric cave-art and symbology. A vital connecting point into early human imagination and creativity, caves can embody psychic wombs reaching back in time to explore the archetypal subconscious. Clayton Eshleman’s poetry reminds us of the need for cultivating our “deep mind” or subconscious mind. “For it is in the deep mind that wilderness and the unconscious become one, and in some half- understood but very profound way, our relation to the outer ecologies seems conditioned by our inner ecologies.”
In the spirit of cave-art, Juniper fuse explores a labyrinth of unusual percussion including a microtonal vibraphone, bass selonding (custom-tuned Balinese metallophone) and two custom-made microtonal
prepared piano.
