PUFFS Community Theatre Auditions - (Comedy)Drop-In Mon. May 12th & Tues. May 13th
Drop in at the Elberton Arts Ctr Meeting Room between 6:00PM-8:00PM either night prepared to read excerpts from the script for Director Julie Williams. Those planning to audition should also be available during most weeknights from June thru mid-Aug 2025. Casting will be done for 11 adult men & women - teens are welcome to audition!
No experience is necessary to audition! Please note that Encore Productions is a community theatre organization, and all acting roles granted are strictly on a volunteer basis – no paid roles are available.
Performances will be at the Elberton Arts Ctr Aug 8-10 & 15-17, 2025 as an additional show in the Encore Productions Season.
Rehearsals will be held 3 nights a week (usually Mon, Tues & Thurs) from June thru mid-Aug 2025.
Synopsis: This clever and inventive play “never goes more than a minute without a laugh” giving you a new look at a familiar adventure from the perspective of three potential heroes just trying to make it through a magic school that proves to be very dangerous for children. Alongside them are the Puffs, a group of well-meaning, loyal outsiders with a thing for badgers “who are so lovable and relatable, you’ll leave the theater wishing they were in the stories all along.” Their “hilariously heartfelt!” and epic journey takes the classic story of a boy wizard to new places and reimagines what a hero can be.
