PUBLIC SPEAKING THROUGH COMEDY COURSE

Purpose of the workshop is to overcome the fear of public speaking through stand up comedy. We will use humor as the primary tool in order to become persuasive speakers, improve stage presence, and develop self-confidence.

You will learn:

• 22 Stage Presence Tips & Techniques
• Unlocking Your Funny & Breaking The Ice
• Effective Speech Structuring
• Self Awareness & Body Language
• Confidence & Controlling Nerves
• Embracing Your Accent (if any)

Investment: $450 incl. HST Tax

Length: 7 weeks including Grad Show (8 sessions*)

*Includes 1 one-on-one private session with customized feedback. You will also receive constructive, private feedback throughout the entire course.

Class Size: Max 12 students, to ensure personalized attention.

Grad Show: On the 7th week there will be a Grad Night where each student will perform a 5 minute set before an audience of friends and family.

• I don't want to do the Grad Show. Do I have to?

A: We can't force you :) However, the entire syllabus builds on concepts that you will put into practice on Grad Night. Our advice is join the workshop and you can decide later. Hundreds of students joined the workshop with fear of public speaking and overcame it on Grad Night!

• I'm not funny. I don't know any jokes. Why would I join a course that includes stand up comedy?

A: It's a public speaking through comedy course. We will teach you the science behind communicating effectively and making people laugh. This will enable you to connect with an audience and become a funny, confident speaking machine who will K*ll every speech opportunity from now on!
