During her residency at Bau, Maria Magdalena Kozłowska has further developed her work Gloria Mortis. Focusing on Baroque vocal vocabulary, Maria Magdalena Kozłowska, along with harpsichordist Katerina Orfanoudaki and choreographer Nisha Ha, works through an encounter with a man whose fantasy was to K*ll a woman. Opera becomes a means of protection, as well as a transformation of the body’s memories. Giving birth to the voice is not a cry for help - it’s a primordial gesture of telling one’s story.
