Get ready for a groove-driven night of live music! 🎶🔥Public Saxophone is an instrumentally leaning trio based in New Jersey, comprised of guitarist Thomas Benter, drummer Matt Britt, and bassist Nick Zak.
Rooted primarily in funk and soul, their sound pulls from a wide range of influences including surf, psych, krautrock, and world music. Public Saxophone emphasizes deep, infectious grooves, layered with ornamental melodic sensibility delivered by the band’s principal writer and guitarist, Thomas Benter.
Their self-titled debut EP offers a glimpse into the band’s collective musical language and dynamic range of influences — tight, rhythmic, and full of character.
