Uncle Sam Wants YOU To Help Read the Declaration of Independence on July 4th.
START YOUR 4TH OUT RIGHT! We will be once again have a public recitation of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 2026 - the 250th anniversary of its signing. We anticipate doing this at 9a in the VFW shelter; it takes less than half an hour and then you can go on to your other Independence Day activities.
If you would like to participate, please email Indivisible Sauk Prairie at [email protected] with your name, email address, and phone number. We would like to get a wide variety of readers: kids, farmers, bankers, shopkeepers, healthcare workers, first responders, laborers, etc. - just like the variety of people who supported the American Revolution.
The Declaration is a powerful document, especially when read aloud; what better day to do so than July 4th?
