A rare opportunity for businesses to shape the future of Cheltenham High Street

If you own, manage or represent a business in Cheltenham, this is your opportunity to discuss the future of the town centre face to face with the Councillors and officers leading the Public Realm Project.

Hosted by Cheltenham BID, Gloucestershire County Council and Cheltenham Borough Council, this business engagement event is your chance to hear directly from the decision-makers, ask questions, share your experiences and help shape the long-term vision for Cheltenham town centre.

The public engagement programme has been running from 8 June to 20 July 2026 and has already generated almost 900 responses. This session is dedicated to hearing directly from businesses and stakeholders whose insight is vital to the future success of the town centre.

At the event you'll be able to:

• Meet councillors and council officers leading the project.
• Hear the latest updates on the Public Realm Project.
• Take part in interactive discussions.
• Share your experiences and priorities as a business.
• Help influence the future of Cheltenham's High Street and Promenade.

We're particularly seeking your views on:

• Creating a single, unified vision for the High Street and Promenade.
• Using consistent design, materials and identity in future improvements.
• Creating a town centre that feels like one connected, welcoming and thriving destination.
• The feedback gathered will help shape future public realm improvements and support the development of a shared vision for Cheltenham.
