Public Overdose Response + Prevention & Safety Training

On August 31st, in observance of International Overdose Awareness Day, the Community Mental Health and Addiction (CMHA) team at Pima County Health Department warmly invites you to join us in raising awareness and participating in an Overdose Response + Prevention and Safety training from 12:00PM to 1:15PM at the Abrams Public Health Center, 1st Floor Conference Room.
Please join us for an engaging and informative session about current overdose trends in our community and discover practical ways people who use drugs can reduce their risk and prevent an overdose. The training will include opportunities to ask questions, share your perspectives, and build your confidence in responding to an overdose.
By the end of the training, you’ll know how to test drugs for fentanyl, recognize the signs of an opioid overdose, and respond using Narcan nasal spray. Attendees will receive free Narcan kits and other helpful resources.
