Public observing night at Spring Mill Pond within Island Lake State Recreation Area 6301 Kensington Road, Brighton, Michigan, 48116This event is free and open to the public. You do not need to be a club member.
Want help with your telescope? Bring it along and club members can help you with it. Let us know by emailing [email protected] and we can often arrange to have someone meet you at the park a bit earlier to help you get the scope working by sunset.
Don't own a telescope? No problem. Most astronomers at the event are happy to let you look at objects through their scopes (please ask to make sure you aren't interrupting something important before looking).
IMPORTANT: These observing nights are "weather permitting" and depend on clear skies. They may sometimes be rescheduled in favor of a better night if the original night is forecasted to be cloudy. Sign up at [email protected] if you would like to be notified about club events.
