Minnesota Department of Transportation invites the public to attend a public meeting on Monday, April 7 at the Kasota Community Center, 200 North Webster Street to learn about the 2025-26 Hwy 22 Mankato to St. Peter project The construction public meeting will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., with a presentation at 5:30 p.m. Staff from MnDOT and the contractor will be present to provide information about the project and answer questions.
The 2025-26 project includes reconstructing the roadway from south of Blue Earth County Road 57 in Mankato to just south of the Minnesota River Bridge in St. Peter and adding new turn and passing lanes. The project also includes constructing a roundabout at Hill Street (Le Sueur County Road 21) in Kasota, improving lighting at intersections, repairing and replacing bridges, installing snow fence, and preparing for future construction of a walking and biking trail to connect Mankato to St. Peter.
Construction on the project is expected to begin in April, and traffic will be detoured during construction.
