TxDOT INVITES YOU TO ATTEND THE US 281 SOUTH COMAL PUBLIC HEARING!
You’re invited to join TxDOT for a public hearing with a virtual option to learn more about how TxDOT proposes to convert US 281 from an existing four-lane divided roadway to a six-lane divided freeway between East Borgfeld Drive and SH 46.
Attendees at the public hearing will have the opportunity to learn more about the proposed improvements to US 281, view a pre-recorded presentation and supporting project exhibits, ask questions, and submit comments.
The hearing will be held in an open house format, and no live presentation will be given. Attendees may come and go at their convenience.

The virtual option will include the same pre-recorded presentation shown at the public hearing, along with online project materials.
The public hearing with a virtual option will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language, or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you are a person who requires an accommodation to attend and participate in the public hearing or virtual option, please contact Lianna Ybarra, project consultant, at 210-349-3273 no later than 4 p.m. CT, Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026. Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.
