Claire has been on our radar since she almost made it to play Victoria for the Wonderment afterparty last summer- she wasn’t able to make it, but Dave Bodrug, festival director of Wonderment, easily convinced us that she would be a perfect fit for The Downbeat. Weezie plays house, just the way we like it, and we’re not the only ones. Kemeleon is half of the Lovefest crew, who brought Victoria their vinyl only loft parties, featuring a who’s who of the Western Canada’s underground dance music selectors. He will be playing a 90 minute vinyl opener. Don’t sleep friends!

Deep inside Montreal's underground Claire concocts her unique sound: sensual, and playful, traversing time and space. Whether Djing with vinyl, playing unreleased tracks on usb or live with machines, her vibe exudes a nomadic exoticism, creating a special kind of magic wherever she goes. In 2025 she launched Planète Secrète: a vinyl label and platform to serve as an outlet for her artistic expression.

Louisa, aka Weezie, is a Victoria-based DJ and one of the city's favorite house music selectors. A dancer before she was a DJ, she brings that same physical intuition to the booth. The past few years she's performed at Bass Coast Festival, Paradise, SLAB, Club Loading, and RUSH, bringing moments that feel as emotionally resonant as they are dancefloor-driven, with selections that keep dancers locked in and lifted.

Kemeleon is a Canadian House and Techno DJ originally from Stratford, Ontario, now based on Vancouver Island. With over 28 years behind the decks, his sound is rooted in a deep passion for underground electronic music. After buying his first turntables in 1998, Kevin “Kemeleon” Tafts went on to study audio engineering at the Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology. His sets blend deep house with interesting techno and everything in between, always focused on creating the right atmosphere for the room. Known for reading the crowd and adapting to the moment, Kemeleon brings energy, emotion, and a thoughtful approach to the dance floor.
