Join CAT students for a free lecture by Mike Berners-Lee titled ‘A Climate of Truth: what change do we need and how can we get it?’ where Mike will explore environmental and social challenges from new angles. Runs Monday 3 November at 7pm. We are delighted to welcome Mike Berners-Lee as a guest lecturer during our postgraduate teaching week for the ‘Sustainability and Adaptation Concepts and Practice’ module.
In this original, inspiring and practical lecture and Q&A, Mike Berners-Lee, the author of There is No Planet B, will reflect on why we’re still accelerating into a polycrisis of environmental and social strife while already having the technology we need for a cleaner and healthier future. Looking at the challenge from new angles, he will get right under the skin of our failures so far and uncover what it will take to do better at last.
