We are pleased to invite you to the public forum of the international conference "What is Civilization? Envisioning the Future of Humanity," taking place in Kathmandu/Nagarkot, Nepal, from October 4-6, 2024.
This prestigious event is jointly organized by the ASIAR Research Cluster, HKIHSS & Global Sustainability and Society Lab, University of Hong Kong, the Asian Institute for Advanced Research (AIFAR), Kathmandu, the Centre for Studies in Science and Humanities, Beijing Normal University, and the Center on Modernity in Transition (COMIT) in the USA. The event is generously sponsored by the Institute for Global Civilization, Hong Kong.
Scholars specializing in civilizational studies from Nepal, China, India, the USA, Pakistan, UAE, Hong Kong, and other countries will participate, offering diverse perspectives on the evolution of civilizations and the future of humanity.
We invite you to register your interest in attending the public forum, which will be held on October 4, 2024, from 13:30 to 15:00 at Hotel Ambassador, Lazimpat, Kathmandu. The forum will be followed by a high tea. Please note that seats are limited, and registration does not guarantee participation. We will confirm your attendance via email after reviewing your submission.
