Public Art Bike Tour with curator Tyson Bankert & Calgary Arts Development
About this Event
Join Tyson from Recess Calgary for a bike ride tour of Calgary's playful public art pieces. Bring your own bicycle, water and gear. This is an 8km ride and would be best suited to adult riders and experienced youth riders. We will be navigating traffic at times by crossing intersections. The tour guide will have a voice amplifier. This special guided tour, , was created for Calgary Culture Days and the Calgary Public Art Guide . Let's celebrate public art! Meet at the first piece of art on the tour on St. Patricks Island, Bloom by artist Michel de Broin. It is best to arrive 15 minutes early, if possible. The tour ends at Pearce Estate Park, 1440 17A Street SE. This tour runs on two separate dates. Sept. 5 & 26 from 1:30 - 3:00pm. Check availability.
