Public Ancestor Ceremony: A Silent Dinner

Saturday, November 1st | 6-8 PM Lillie B's House, Historic Tremont District, Cleveland

On the Day of the Dead / Samhain, join us for a sacred public ceremony to honor and venerate our ancestors. In community, we will create space to remember, offer gratitude, and connect with the wisdom of those who came before us.

Together, we will create a powerful and supportive space for collective remembrance. Whether this is your first ancestor ceremony or you are a regular practitioner, you are welcome. This is a fully guided experience held with care, designed for shared comfort and connection.

Our time together will unfold in three parts:

1. Ritual: A short ceremony to open our sacred space.
2. Silence & Food: We will share light refreshments by candlelight, eating in silence to honor our ancestors and receive their wisdom.
3. Community Circle & Reading: We will close our time with a collective reading and community circle.

Attire: All Black.

Please bring: One (1) white unscented candle. Your offering will be added to our sacred community altar, which has been lovingly tended with intention by community members for the past four weeks in preparation for our time together.

We believe that engaging with our histories, both personal and collective, is vital healing work, especially in this time of uncertainty in our nation and the globe.
