Pub Quiz for Palestine

Gather your pals, come test your knowledge, and win prizes at Otherworld Bar & Kitchen - all ticket sales going direct to families in Gaza.
About this Event

On Thursday, 12th November, head to Otherworld Bar & Kitchen, one of the Edinburgh's most enticing craft ale bars, for a fun and stimulating pub quiz, with all ticket sales going to families in Gaza.
This is the second Palestine fundraiser we've organised together, after a succesful quiz night at Otherworld back in April raised over £1,000 for families in Gaza.
Test your knowledge across a range of rounds, including:
- music
- sport
- Palestinian culture
- general knowledge
The quiz is being organised by pals from Marchmont cricket club, so you can expect the sports round to major on cricket!
If all that quizing isn't enough, there will also be a prize raffle!
Prizes to be announced on the night.
How to book
Please book one ticket for each participant. Your team can be as large or small as you wish. Tickets are on a sliding scale, with a suggested minimum of £20. This is a fundraising event so please be generous if you can.
Where is the money going?
40% of funds raised will go to the Matar family: Suhail, Hanan, Muhammad, Deeb, Ali, Suhaila, Israa, Doaa, Zeina, Sila and Muhammad. Displaced from north Gaza at the beginning of the current genocide, they have repeatedly been forced to relocate in order to escape attacks by the Israeli occupation forces. They are currently based in Gaza City, where, along with many others, they have been living in tents since 2023.
40% of funds will go to the Ziyad family: 19-year-old Mohammed Abu Taima, who is caring for his mother and four younger siblings on his own. The family, also in Gaza, have been displaced multiple times over the past years. Their house has been completely destroyed, and many relatives have been killed. Mohammed's mother suffers from diabetes and severe neuropathy in her legs and requires ongoing care.
20% of funds raised will go to The Sameer Project, a donations-based aid initiative, led by Palestinians in the diaspora, working to supply emergency shelter and aid to displaced families across Gaza.
