PTRA Rides the 2026 Canyon Parade of Lights

The PTRA will be riding and driving in this years Canyon Texas Parade of Lights on Saturday December 6th!PTRA Members who wish to participate in this parade must meet in the First United Methodist Church Parking Lot at 5PM to begin staging for the parade. (1818 4th Ave, Canyon TX)
Our groups theme is Christmas Carousel Horses so dress your horses in a color scheme plan a to meet the theme! The amount of decor, beyond the minimum requirements, is up to you!
Horses are required to have (at least):
2 Separate Stings of lights (battery powered)
1 Set of Bells
Riders are required to wear (at least):
1 string of lights (battery powered)
Bright, warm, cloths (to match horse theme)
Flag carriers will instead hold giant, light up, candy canes instead of flags!
IF YOU WILL BE PARTICIPATING PLEASE MAKE SURE TO LET THE PARADE ORGANIZER (AMY WEST) KNOW PRIOR TO DEC 4TH SO SHE KNOWS TO EXPECT YOU!
The Canyon Chamber of Commerce has requested that NO adults may wear Santa Costumes as they will be providing a Santa at the end of the parade in the Square.
Awards will be given for the "float" with the best overall Christmas theme!
The parade will begin at 6:30PM and its route will travel down 4th Ave to the Square, down one block to 5th Ave, and then back to the Methodist Church where it began.
