In her latest book, Vara blends journalism and memoir to expose how big tech exploits human communication – and how we’re complicit in this. “Searches: Selfhood in the Digital Age” has been widely celebrated: The New York Times and others named it one of their most anticipated books, Publishers Weekly named it one of their 10 Best Books of the Year and Esquire named it one of the best books of the year. Join us as Vara explores themes from “Searches” and considers what it means to construct a self in the digital age.
