Psychedelic Consent: Are you in Psychedelic Consent?
About this Event
You already know consent matters in psychedelic spaces. This workshop gives you the body-level skills to practice it — not as a concept, but as a felt experience you can trust when the room is warm, the facilitator is confident, and everyone else seems fine.
What you'll walk away with:
- A lived, embodied understanding of your own yes, no, and maybe...not just intellectual, in the body
- Practical language for navigating touch, boundaries, and power dynamics before, during, and after a session
- The Wheel of Consent framework and how it maps onto psychedelic facilitation, ceremony, and integration
- The ability to recognize shadow patterns, the guru dynamic, the caretaker trap, the compliant freeze, in yourself and in the rooms you enter
- Tools that transfer: these skills work in ceremony, in relationships, in any space where power and vulnerability intersect
Note: This is a sober, educational workshop. No substances are involved.
Format:
Doors open at 6:30pm. Arrive by 6:45pm. We start at 7pm.
No late entry — plan accordingly.
Capped at 12 participants.
On touch: Some exercises involve optional, consensual touch. Non-touch alternatives are available for everything. Your limits will be respected absolutely. This is a consent workshop — that starts with how we run it.
Who shows up: Facilitators, journeyers, integration coaches, harm reduction advocates, people from somatic communities, and anyone who wants a clearer relationship with their own boundaries. No prior psychedelic experience needed. What matters is that you're curious.
About Josh Jupiter: New York City-based psychedelic integration coach, Tam Integration certified, Oregon-permitted psilocybin facilitator, and NYU lecturer on psychedelic ethics. Creator of the Psychedelic Consent workshop and founder of Brooklyn Balance. His work draws on Betty Martin's Wheel of Consent, years in psychedelic spaces, and the belief that the only person in charge of your safety is you — and you deserve the tools to do that well.
