While the gospel accounts offer a pretty comprehensive overview of what happened to Jesus
in the last days and hours before his death, they don’t tell us much about what Jesus was
thinking and feeling as he was carrying the sins of the world to the cross. That’s where the
Psalms come in. This year we will contemplate Psalms which describe what Jesus was
thinking and feeling as he carried the sins of the world to the cross to purchase our salvation.
