Prāṇa Dhyāna — Breath & Meditation
About this Event
Before you carry the whole day into your evening, put some of it down.
Prāṇa Dhyāna is a simple 30-minute evening practice dedicated to two fundamental aspects of Yoga:
Prāṇa — the breath and vital energy.
Dhyāna — meditation and sustained inner awareness.
There are no complicated postures and no need to be flexible.
We sit.
We breathe.
We observe.
And little by little, we allow the activity of the day to settle.
Through traditional yogic breathing practices, guided awareness and meditation, each session creates a small transition between the busyness of your day and the quiet of your evening.
Depending on the session, we may explore:
- Conscious breathing
- Prāṇāyāma
- Nāḍī Śodhana and other traditional breathing techniques
- Breath observation
- Mantra
- Guided meditation
- Silent meditation
- Short periods of complete stillness
Why only 30 minutes?
Because meditation does not need to become another thing you struggle to fit into your life.
Thirty minutes is enough to arrive, regulate the breath, sit with yourself and begin developing something much more valuable than an occasional long meditation:
consistency.
Come after work.
Come after a difficult day.
Come when your mind is busy.
You don't need to arrive peaceful.
That's what the practice is for.
No previous experience with meditation, Yoga or breathwork is required. Beginners are completely welcome.
A small daily ritual.
Breathe.
Sit.
Listen.
Then go home carrying a little less noise with you.
Duration: 30 minutes
Drop-in: $15
